What inspired you to become a nurse?

I worked as a candy striper for a summer while I was in high school.
I just loved the nursing uniforms as well as their interactions with their patients.
That’s when I decided that I wanted to be a nurse.

What inspires you to do your job everyday?

I believe that my profession is impacting and making a difference.
That’s why I volunteer at the free clinic. It keeps me grounded. I really don’t mind
working in areas which may not have the equipment or funds that most medical
settings have as it allows me to do some good old fashioned nursing!

Is there a certain tool that you use on the job that helps you to do you patient care
or that helps you to be efficient and organized?

I work best with a good pen and a comfortable pair of scrubs!
